  Unbelievably poor customer service. Ordered our food and waited for half an hour before one of the staff came out to inform us they'd run out of venison burgers.
  
  Waited another 20 minutes and still no food, during which time the sprinkler for the hanging basket came on, drenching one of our party in water. When we informed one of the staff she laughed without the merest hint of an apology.
  
  After more than a hour, seeing parties who ordered after us receiving their food, our patience ran out and we went in to the bar to voice our frustrations.
  
  The frankly rude and disinterested staff informed us that our food was ready and the delay was due to the complexity of our order. One of our party had asked for no bacon in her salad and dressing on the side. I wait in a sense of heightened anticipation for the management's thorough explanation of how this simple request added so much time to the processing of the order.
  
  Unjustifiable arrogance from the chef and complacent staff. Grab a sandwich or buy your beers at the Spa next door, head to the cafe at the railway station, just do not expect anything approaching reasonable customer service in this joke of an establishment.

  The staff at this pub accommodated our family of 16 on a very busy Easter Sunday. The staff were organised and very helpfull and the food was gorgeous. We all chose different meals and each one was hot, tasty and lots of it and more than anything it was freshly prepared not the run of the mill fodder you usually get from the big chains. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are visiting the area. You won't be disappointed.

  Good food and helpful staff. Our group of 28 motorcycle friends arrived at a Thursday lunch time. Tables were reserved for us
  A big car park. Clean toilets. Will certainly call again.
